Braden Smith is principal owner of Braden Smith Design, LLC. He holds BA and MA degrees in Industrial Design from Purdue University, the latter focusing on the new product development process. He has designed and contributed to a variety of projects including consumer electronics, sporting goods, exercise equipment, tools, pet products, medical equipment, exhibits and displays. Notable clients include Bare Escentuals, Case Logic, Freemotion, Gerber, Giant Bicycles, Hunter Douglas, Ideo, Proctor and Gamble, and Saris Cycling Group. He is also the recipient of an International Hardware Show Retailers' Choice Award and holds one utility patent.

Throughout his career, Mr. Smith has had the opportunity to teach at Purdue University, The Art Institute of Colorado, and lectured at the University of Michigan. He has instructed undergraduate design classes at Purdue University and has also created and taught a new product development course at the Art Institute of Colorado. In his courses, students invented and developed products through various development processes such as brainstorming, market research, intellectual property evaluation, manufacturing cost analysis, and financial projections.

Currently, Mr. Smith is developing his own products while concentrating his consulting to small and medium sized businesses, providing industrial design and engineering support as a start-to-finish service.
